Microsoft Office, which is sometimes also called Office, is generally regarded as a suite of server software, client software, and services created and developed by Microsoft. The tech-giant Microsoft was first unveiled by Bill Gates on August the 1st, 1988, at COMDEX located in Los Angeles. Initially, the MS Office suite was unveiled with a bundle that contained only productivity applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Procedure to Download Microsoft Office (Sign in to Download Office)

Before commencing the download, installation, and activation procedures, it is essential that you first verify that your system is satisfying all the product specifications.

1. First and foremost, it is imperative that we create a login id at Microsoft. Visit office.com/setup for sign-up process reference, or else log in to your Microsoft account.
2. Just ensure that you are signing-in with the account that you have used for the product. The account can be work, school, or personal account. If you have forgotten which account you should use, you must log on to support.microsoft.com.
3. Once you are signed in to your Microsoft account, you must follow the below-steps depending upon the preference of your account.

Microsoft Personal Account

• Visit the homepage of the Microsoft Office, and then proceed to hit on the "Install Office" option.
• Hit on the "Install" (or Install Office, if you are using a different version) button only if you are sure that you are installing the product you need.

Work or School Account

• Arrive at the homepage of Microsoft Office.
• When you are at the homepage, proceed to click on the "Install Office" option. However, if your start page is different, you can choose to visit aka.ms/office-install.
• Choose the option "Office 365 apps" to initiate the installation process.
• Keep in mind that the 64-bit version of the product gets installed automatically until or unless Microsoft Office verifies that you are using a 32-bit version of the Office (or a solitary application like Project or Visio).
• Now, if you wish to alter from a 32-bit version to a 64-bit version or the other way around, the first thing you should do is that you should uninstall the Office application (if you are using any solo-applications such as Project or Visio, you should uninstall them as well). After you have uninstalled the product, log on to office.com/setup or sign in again to choose other install options, select your preference for the language and version you want to use, and only then should you select the "Install" button. Follow different reinstallation procedures for Project and Visio.

Procedure to Install Microsoft Office

1. Based upon your preference for the browser that you are using, choose "Run" (if you are using Edge or Internet Explorer), "Setup" (if you are using Chrome), or "Save File" (if you are using Firefox).
2. Then, a prompt of UAC (User Account Control) will emerge on the screen, and it will ask for your permission to allow the Office suite to make changes to your system. Kindly proceed to click on the "Yes" button.
3. The installation process will begin. Kindly do not distort it.
4. Your system will notify you when the installation process concludes. You are also likely to see an animation that would guide you on where you should search for your Office applications in your system. Proceed to select close.
5. If you are facing any installation issues, you can proceed to download and install "Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant."
6. If you are still facing installation issues or your installation process is taking a while to finish, log on to support.microsoft.com.

Procedure to Activate Microsoft Office

1. In order to launch a Microsoft Office application, click on the "Start" button and then search for an office application such as "Microsoft Word."
2. Click on the icon once it appears on your screen.
3. Once the application opens, proceed to accept the "license agreement." Thus, your Microsoft Office will be activated and ready to use.
